The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) is federally funded by the Department of Social Services and is designed to ease social and or cultural isolation experienced by recipients of Commonwealth subsidised aged care services lining in the community, and residents of aged care homes whose quality of life would be improved by friendship and companionship.
The aims and objectives of the Team Leader CVS role are:
- to provide overall management of Lutheran Care CVS program across various locations in SA
- provide leadership to a consortium of eight community partners with the purpose of improving the quality of life of residents of aged care homes or clients in their own home who have limited contact with family and friends, and who may be at risk of isolation from the general community
- coordinate and supervise the Lutheran Care CVS team
