Watch this space: Elcies Disability Care coming soon
People with a disability will soon be able to access support from Lutheran Care, with the organisation about to become a Registered NDIS Provider.
Through the new disability services arm of our organisation, Elcies Disability Care, we are excited about supporting people with a disability to participate in the activities they choose and achieve the goals they set for themselves.
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme, or NDIS, is Australia’s first national scheme for people with a disability. Through the NDIS, funding goes directly to the individual living with permanent and significant disability, so they can access the services and supports they need to to live and enjoy their lives.
NDIS providers assist participants to achieve the goals they set for themselves. To become an NDIS provider, organisations must register through the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, which regulates the NDIS market and provides national consistency.
Lutheran Care is excited to announce we have successfully completed our compliance certification, and are currently awaiting registration through the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission to launch Elcies Disability Care.
Elcies Disability Care will support individuals with:
- Daily living
- Navigating the NDIS
- Support coordination
- Positive behaviour support
- And more.
While our NDIS Registration is still pending with the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission, we are able to support individuals who are self managing their own funds, with Support Coordination as an ‘Unregistered NDIS Provider’.
