The Low Income Support Program facilitates regional development of the community sector in Adelaide by providing networking opportunities and referral resources.

Another branch of the program is its community development focus. Inter-agency networks are maintained across three regions of metropolitan Adelaide (the inner city, the inner north, and the eastern / north-eastern region) The program maintains the ER and Low Income Support Directories for the Northern Area.

This Low Income Support Program Directory was first develop through the work of the Enfield Anti-Poverty Forum and the Low Income Support Program based at Lutheran Community Care (LCC). The program is funded by the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion.

LCC's Low Income Support Program currently maintains three Forums:

• The Inner Northern Community Assistance Network, which covers the eastern half of the City of Port Adelaide Enfield and the City of Prospect,
• The Eastern Anti-Poverty Forum, which covers the Cities of Campbelltown and Tea Tree Gully, with agencies located within the neighbouring council areas of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters and Burnside regularly participating, and
• The Inner City Assistance Network, which covers the CBD and North Adelaide.

This is by no means an exhaustive listing of services or agencies within this broad area of Adelaide, and references are made to more comprehensive listings of community services in South Australia.

In detailing information of over 100 agencies in Adelaide, it is possible that errors or omissions have occurred. Changes to some services are also likely to take place between now and the next update of the LISP Directory. Any corrections, additions or notifications of service changes would be greatly appreciated (refer to details on page 5).

This Directory is intended for use by agencies and workers as a referral tool, and a number of methods of seeking information have been outlined. The PDF version of the Directory is below.
