Foster Care Assessment Workers

Three positions available - 2 full-time and 1 part-time

As a Foster Care Assessment Worker, you will be responsible for working with people interested in becoming a Foster Carer. This role requires significant visitation to applicants and the ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships over an extended period (approximately 6 - 9 months) while assessing their strength and capacity to be foster carers.

Applicants with a working knowledge of the Step By Step competency-based foster care assessment tool and process, and familiarity with the Shared Stories / Shared Lives Foster Carer training would be highly regarded. Applicants with accreditation in the Step By Step assessment tool are encouraged to contact AME Recruitment directly.

Foster Care Placement Worker

As a Foster Care Placement Worker, you will liaise with staff of the Matching and Allocations Team (Families SA) and the Alternative Care Services team to receive, process and respond to referrals of children who may be considered for a placement with LCC Foster Carers. The role works closely with these teams to ensure the best possible placement outcomes for each child.

Foster Care Case Worker

One position available - full-time

As a Foster Care Case Worker, you will be providing support and advocacy to foster carers to achieve highly successful placements for children in care. Although the role is office based, travel for regular home visits with foster carers will be required.
