Senior Financial Counsellor - LCC Level 5
Alice Springs - Job Description

LCC Central Australia provides a range of programs to support individuals and families meet their potential. Programs include, Financial Counselling, Capability and Resilience, Emergency Relief, Playgroups, Family Support and Employment Mentoring.

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Counsellor who will be responsible for:

  • providing practice and general supervision to nominated financial counsellors within our team
  • providing a high level, confidential financial counselling to clients
  • working with the team leaders of the Financial Counselling, Capability & Wellbeing  program to ensure a comprehensive service delivery outcome is achieved for clients that utilise our services.

    Foster Care Case Worker
    LCC Level 4 (Salary packaging available) - Job Description

    Our Alternative Care Services (ACS) is funded through the Department for Education and Child Development (DECD) to provide family based foster care services in the SA Metropolitan North, South, West, and East, the Adelaide Hills, the Barossa and the Murray/Mallee regions.

    The  Foster Care Case Worker is responsible for providing assessment, training, support and advocacy for foster carers to achieve highly successful placements and maximise the well-being of children in care. While the position is office based,  travel for regular home visits with foster carers and to other locations for intra and interagency meetings is required.

    Senior Manager – Foster Care Services
    LCC Level 7, 1.0 FTE - Job Description

    Seeking Senior Manager for Foster Care Services.  This role will provide effective leadership to the team.  You will provide best practice management of a range of functions including recruitment, assessment, training, placement and foster carer support within sites located throughout Adelaide.   You will contribute to the overall leadership within Lutheran Community Care family and children’s services, together with representing at CAFWA, Department of Child Protection and other child and family safety/well-being forums and meetings. 

    To be successful in this role you will possess

    • Higher education qualification to a degree level and extensive relevant experience e.g. in Human Services or Community Services, or Organisational Development
    • Proven effective leadership and experience in management of community service programs and supervising staff
    • Ability to act strategically and exercise a high level of judgement
    • Comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures relating to Foster Care Services,
    • High level communication skills, including interpersonal skills

    Peachey Place Living Skills Centre, Davoren Park - Job Description

    The Peachey Place Living Skills Centre was developed to enhance the life skills of community members and provide opportunities for strengthening the community. It is the result of a partnership between Lutheran Community Care, The Burundian Association, Housing SA and the City of Playford. Lutheran Community Care is the employing agency and a management committee, with representatives from the partners and community members, will provide advice and direction to the project.

    This role provides an opportunity for  a person with experience in gardening and supporting volunteers.
